As I've said before, I don't see more in Rondo than say a TJ Ford. If anything, I think Ford is a little bit better than Rondo.

You think TJ Ford is better than Rondo..what the phuck is ISH coming too? This deserves a ban for atleast a week..People clearly havent watched Rondo throughout the season. Why because Ford has a better jump shot? lmao You realize Rondo is better at EVERYTHING Ford does right?

The fact is besides Ray, who is much more of a catch and shoot type of a guy, if you surround this young man with some great spot up 3 point shooters, i.e. posey from last year, he could still carry an offense. Plus he's a decent rebounder for his size

for all those reasons he should deserve a contract above 7 mil.
I understand this. I already said he looks great when surrounded by great players. Who doesn't?

Rondo can slash, I know this. He can get to the rim, I know this. He draws fouls, I know this. But he can't create his own shot, and when he's surrounded by less than stellar players, he's just another PG with nobody to pass to.

This is so fckin dumb..Did you watch Game 1 or Game 2 when Rondo was creating his own shot at will?

Catz shut the f*ck up on matters you know nothing about. That has got to be the shallowest, most oversimplified perspective on Rondo I've heard since the retard collegebb fans back when he was at Kentucky.

Newsflash d!cksh!t he'z been developing a solid J for a good two years now, and has been knocking them down 52.7% eFG. View some goddamn Celtics game, THEN formulate an opinion you f*cking good for nothing creepshow.

8.5 million through cincos anos.

TJ Ford is a great player though Truth.

u mad?

I calls it like I sees it son. I've watched probably 20 Celtics games this year, and EVERY BIT of game 1 and 2.

Lol, just STFU, you're trying too hard with your "insults" these days.

Insults, schminsults. I ain't angry, I'm just furious

I guess after viewing soft one-dimensional punks like Reggie, Dunleavy and Sarunas your entire weed-enhanced life, you think shooting is all there is to basketball. Guess what punk! You're officially delusional! Not every one can be hit 40% from 20 feet out while being frail and white. Expand your horizons big guy!

Rondo = Great defender. Solid Passer. Excellent rebounder for his size. Very good slasher with a secondary floater in his arsenal. And a developing jumpshot that has now surpassed "average." That is not a "Can't Shoot" situation.

Accept that Jamaal Tinsley'z wasted azz will never touch the legend known as Raging Rondo.

well, hes not overrated, but I also dont see a team dropping 10 mil+ on him. I say a 7-8 mil/year contract is what he should expect. You gotta think about the economy (terrible to the point where nearly half of all teams lost money), the market (going up against bron, wade, bosh, etc) and a lot of other variables.

his jumper has not surpassed average. not nba average. he will always be a sub-par shooter.

I refuse to take advice from a man who is above 20 and supports a team a thousand miles above his current university.

Therefore, Rondo > average.

Taken the big picture into account, I just don't think I can leap Rondo in that category above TJ Ford yet.

His slashing ability looks pretty decent. But lets face the facts: he averages 12 points for the season. And it's not like he gets that much attention from other teams either.

His passing ability looks goo, but we have to keep in mind that there are a lot of players on the C's that can create their own shot. You don't have to create offense for guys like Pierce/KG/Allen, you just pass it to them. The offensive plays the Celtics run are very, very weak also.

His defense is a little overrated. Actually we had a very good indicator of that a few days ago. Playing defense is a little different when you don't get to cruise on offense. And Rondo got historically shat on by a rookie point in his debut, a rookie point who had absolutely no one to pass it to on offense. That's literal, he got shat on so bad it's in the record books. Truth be told, Rondo shat on Rose almost the same, but it was no good game for him defensively. Rondo is really no more than a decent defender operating in a great team defense.

Given the big picture, the fact the Rondo is at best the fourth best player on his team, that he can ride the coattails of a bunch of HOF candidates, I just can't consider him to be that good. He has to do more.

But why am I explaining this to a crazed bandwagon fan, you people can't be reasoned with.
