Typically, a power forward is one of the larger players on the court. They are usually expected to be aggressive pursuing rebounds and to score most of their points on the low post (no more than six feet (2 m) from the basket), as opposed to taking jump shots from farther away. Power forwards can be imposing presences on defense, but they usually defer to the center for blocking shots and general intimidation. In the NBA, a typical power forward is between 6' 8" and 6' 10" (2.04 to 2.09 m) in height and 240 to 260 pounds (108 to 118 kg) in weight, and is often asked to play center in specific game situations or when a particular team lacks a taller player.
But how about we call these players we are arguing about this:
Its wikipedia...why the hell would I give a damn what they say. And it still doesnt account for the changing definition and allocation of responsibility between the two fictional positions over the last 20 years

WTF is up your ass? Are you Hakeem? His kid? A obsessed rocket fan?
Im not even a Rockets fan...just the fact that if you make a distinction on skill set it doesnt follow logically that Duncan is a pf and Hakeem is not. And if you a make a distinction on who you play and guard then you have to admit that if Shaq and Yao played together that Shaq is a power forward. Just trying to follow it out logically

Ok then make Hakeem a PF. Tattoo that sh!t to your arm for all I care.
Fantastic! So you have the official official most officialist definitions I suppose.
There is no officail definiton...If you want to formulate an operational definition you would have to trace the difference is skill sets and poll coaches etc. about it or more practically search the internet for hours to find quotes. Im not the guy to do that..thats more like that bruceblitz guy.

Again, list Duncan and Hakeem whatever you want. Production is production and last count:
Duncan: 4 titles in 11 seasons. 2 MVPs. 3 Final MVPs. ETC
Positions aren't defined by skillsets, moron. If that were the case, Dirk would be a shooting guard. Jesus Christ people are dumb. Duncan has been a power forward most of his career, and has played center the past few seasons.
