Angry Coming In Defense of Odom & Rad!

It's kind of ironic when the media portrays both Odom & Rad listed @ 6'10 as just being tweeners in todays NBA standards but labeling them out to be liabilities at the defensive end w/their negativities is a bunch of BS coming out of them and it better get our starting forwards motivated enough in proving these Bozo's wrong. With Defense already being the main focus at camp this year the Lakers will have to adjust quicker in defending the pick & rolls better assuming they may have a harder time chasing down the smaller quicker 3's in this league in compliance w/faster rotation coverage to shut down the penetrations coming from the speedier PG's . Odom starting @ PF may not be bulky enough to withstand the bruteness being dished out by the stronger PF's for the duration of the game but has fit in nicely in adapting to that PF role using his length & quickness has become one of NBA's top rebounders.

So I'm not buying all this negative media crap about our starting forwards being at a disadvantage at the defensive end cause Odom & Radmanovic will make their opponents eat crow at our offensive end than they would make us at our defensive end, besides IMO having the height advantage in the NBA can make up for the lack of bulk and can be more effective in a defensive ploy used in rotation coverage. This year the Lakers in defense of the pick & roll can counter act by throwing different lineups at our opponents w/most of our key players having the flexibility to play 2 or more positions is to our advantage. Is the purpose of hearing from the media no better served other then to P/O the players & their fans?

Default our forwards

I agree.....

Vlad is very athletic and big. He never has had a ton of
minutes, but I think he is ready to learn and will get better.

LO7 is solid on D in every way. Some guys can't be stopped.
(wish we had more than one on our team!!!)
LO7 has shown greatness, beautiful to watch. Glimpses of Magic!
I hope he finds Kobe's hunger....and makes a legacy for himself
in the playoffs when it counts. He can!!
