He will be missed.

Not to many people like him come around. He is one of a kind. Wholeheartedly cared for others over himself. One of the most unselfish and giving players ever to grace a basketball court. Not many players can be remembered for what they did both on and off the court.

A defensive juggernaut. The most intimidating defensive force of his era. Top notch rebounder, blocker, help defender and man defender. Never ever backed down to anyone. He was a vital piece in many upsets and really overachieved on some of those teams because of his heart and impact.

You really cant say more about the guy. He really utilized his position as an NBA player and gave back to great causes. There are not many people who are rich and successful who actually give so much effort to charitable causes. Its so weird that he will no longer be in the NBA. I still to this day have his Upper Deck rookie card in the closet. He will down in NBA history as one of the best defensive players ever, but he will be remembered for the man he was. I am glad to have seen him through out his whole career.

I wish we could have signed him back in the mid 90s but Atlanta was better program at that time.

Man I will miss his so much, his fingerwag is legendary, and won't be forgotten.

At least he went out, doing what he loved, giving his all on the court, sad it happened in the middle of a series and he was so badly hurt though.

He is one of my all time favourite players, one of the great humanitarians and just a great guy. I don't think I know a person who dis-likes Mutombo.
