Because Peppers hasn't signed his franchise tender, the Panthers can entertain trade offers but can't seek one out. That's all up to Peppers' agent, Carl Carey, who surely is working the phones in hopes of landing his unhappy client a new home.

The problem is a lot has to happen for a trade to work, not the least of which is Peppers agreeing to a new contract with another team and the Panthers agreeing on reasonable compensation in return for the four-time Pro Bowler.

with the 17th pick, i kinda want the browns to pick up Knowshon Moreno if he's there. we need someone with a little speed in our backfield, and J.Lewis has to be on his last legs.
