Default Pick one: Anquan Boldin or Braylon Edwards

These are the 2 best players that seem to be available for a trade right now in the days before the draft. If you can have one who'd you take? Boldin probably has better hands, but at 28 going on 29 he's 2 1/2 years older than Edwards. Braylon is also a little bit bigger, and possibly faster, but thats not really an advantage because Anquan is the more physical receiver. If your team could only get one of these 2 players and had to give up a 1st and possibly a 3rd who would you take.

from a brown's fan, Edwards blows ass. You would think he would be good but that dude just did not give a sh*t last season. Lead the league in dropped passes.

It's very easily Boldin. Edwards is younger but NFL contracts might as well be written on toilet paper. Unless it's a franchise player (which a WR is not) go for immediate impact, don't worry about the long-term when you can just cut the guy and replace him.

We all know Braylon had a bad year last year, but what about the season he had 2 years ago? I remember Browns fans calling him the 2nd best receiver in the league after Randy Moss and the most underrated player in the league last year. Of course last year was an off year, but the year he had the year before last might have been the best season other player has ever had. Plus he's been staying healthy since his rookie year, while Boldin has been getting banged up lately and missed at least 2 games all of his seasons as a pro but 2.

Basically just to come out and say it, I think I'd take Edwards.

I would take a one legged Anquan Boldin over Edwards any day.

Braylon has stone hands and terrible fundamentals.

I gurantee if Braylon Edwards had the season he did prior to last these responses are different. Heck i bet if Braylon has a monster season this upcoming season the responses are different. I guess you're only as good as your last catch is the theme in this thread.

Braylon had way too many dropped passes last season. But there are a number of players who suffer the dropsies. Plaxico Burress was in the double digits before but his impact and importance to NYG was evident. T.Owens always has a case of the dopsies. No excuse for dropped passes but if thats your determining factor as to say "its not even close", "by a mile" then you really dont understand football or havent watched much of Braylon and study stats like this is FF.

As far as who I want? That all depends. Do I want a younger WR with more years left to produce? But he could be Americas next top diva WR. He has a case of the dopsies, can this be corrected? Just a fluke season with drops? Do I want an older, less durable player who can produce but you wonder when he will go down? Boldin is one of the toughest and most physical WRs in the game. And he is tough to tackle after he catches it. But the way he plays he is prone to getting injured way more often than not. That concerns me. His production across the board seemed to have dipped as well. Was that a result of Fitzgerald? A decline? A combo of both?

Two players both with question marks. Tough, I'm leaning towards Boldin because he is the perfect fit for this particular offense (Eagles). Michigan Wrs in general have been a disappointment when they arrive to the NFL but Braylon had a remarkable year the season before last. He's young and if you look at the talent? He has more talent than Boldin. He can make plays Boldin cant. He would definately be a nice long term #1 WR for your franchise. I'd take Braylon over Boldin if I wasnt trying to fit him into the Eagles offense. I think he just has more ability and potential to be an elite WR (one of the top Wrs) in the game. And no I dont consider Boldin that.
