Geez, between Bynum, Ariza, and Walton --- we better close the series out tonite so we can get them some rest and recuperation! Not to mention Pau and Kobe could probably use some rest as well.... Would have been nice to sweep the series for this very reason.
Let's see how long that Blazers v Rockets series goes, as both could end up being only 5 games - not giving the Lakers much extra rest.

Not to worry, Boston/Chicago or Hawks/Heat or Blazer/Rockets all have potential to go 7. I think we just need to focus first on closing out the series tonight and get that much needed rest for the team.

A game is not won or lost on a single play in the second quarter but one play can swing the momentum and flow of the game. We were struggling and down seven when Luke Walton hit a three point basket from the corner. This sparked us on a run to the lead and following a couple more three point buckets, Jazz coach Jerry Sloan took a timeout. Coming out of that timeout the crowd was trying to supply their hometown team with the energy to take back the lead. A big play out of this timeout could have put a halt to our run and swung the momentum back in the favor of Utah. Utah came out and ran a play they call “45”. There are a few options to this play but after timeouts in crucial situations they like to run it with a back pick for a lob and dunk. The lob pass was deflected and the play thwarted. It was just one play out of approximately 100 possessions that night for Utah but instead of the Jazz crowd exploding after a dunk we kept them quiet and went on to assume control of the game.
There are some teams who will roll over when faced with a 3-1 deficit in a series. Obviously the Jazz are not one of those teams. We fully expect the Jazz to come in to Staples Center and play with the urgency that the situation dictates. We must play with more fire. There are still plenty of areas where we can improve our performance in this series. We need to do a better job on the boards. Our screen and roll defense can be better. On the offensive end they started double teaming Kobe a little bit more in game four so we must maintain our spacing and be ready to knock down open shots when we get them. If we bring the correct mental and physical energy tonight and improve in these areas we will be able to close out this series. If not, it will be back to Salt Lake City for game 6 Thursday.

i guarantee victory. i don't do this very often. i would bet the farm on us in tonight's game though. it's a wrap.
somebody put a body on boozer in the first half so he can stop making our front court look so bad. mind the rotations, i am so sick of watching stuff like Sasha come to HELP ON OKUR IN THE POST and leave Korver. THINK. who am i going to help on and why, who am i leaving open to help. We are occasionally the best defensive team in the league but our rotations are embarassing to me all too frequently.
