Default Your first car thread

Simple thread. Tell about your first car. Post pictures if you want.

I don't have my first car yet, but I've been saving up for a powder blue 87 Ford Thunderbird going for 1500. I need only one more paycheck(in 2 weeks) before I have the money to buy it. I test drove it already. It runs pretty well for an 87 model. The right side mirror is missing but that will be easy to replace. I'm eventually gunna put a sound system. It's a powder blue color. I'll show pictures when I get it. It's nothing fancy since it's gunna be my first car, and honestly, I'll take anything that has 4 wheeles and an engine.

1974 VW Bus Blue and White 1st year they made an automatic with fuel injection it had a 2.1 flat porch engine in it and was pretty fast for a bus had the classic "Honk if anything falls off sticker"

(question? how do you post a pic if you do not have a URL for it because it's not from a internet site say it's from C:\Documents and Settings\My Documents\My Pictures then how do you go about it? Thanks)

I absolutely hate that sh!t. While I have to work in order to get myself a bucket T-bird, these kids get these Mercades Bens, BMWs, Corvettes, Lexus's, Cadellacs, etc. as birthday presents or whatever.

I prefer to drive my 91 accord than have my parents by me a car, the only thing I don't like is the color of interior, and my alignments a little f'd up.

And on the car you are gonna choose, I definitely wouldn't go with that if I were you. There are much better cars you can get with $1,500-2k. I can find a car like mine for under $1500, but when summer starts comin prices go up quite a bit.

It's the best deal I can find. There's nothing wrong with the T-Bird other than the right mirror is missing. No biggie. I don't even use the right mirror when I drive anyway. And I can also just go to a junkyard and get one. It's in pretty good shape for an 87 model.

Also, until I get the Tbird. I'm stuck driving my mom's 2000 Subaru Outback. It's not a bad car. I like the outback... It's my mom's though and I'd like to have my own car.

Red face

1972 Fiat 128--fire engine red--cost $2300 (my entire savings) right off the showroom floor. Gasoline was twenty-eight cents per gallon and I could fill the tank for $2.50. It doesn't seem so long ago.............
