Default Aaron McKie Is Hurt.

McKie hurt at training camp

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. (AP) - Los Angeles Lakers guard Aaron McKie had to cut his training camp practice time short Friday because of a sore back, raising questions about the 13-year veteran's health.

McKie missed 50 games last season because of a tear in his left quadriceps tendon. He appeared in 14 games, never becoming comfortable with the triangle offence. The Lakers have 10 guards in training camp - six of whom have guaranteed contracts, including McKie.

But McKie's continuing health issues have led to speculation that his two-year contract could be bought out.

"He understands this offence and now it's just physically whether or not he's able to keep up with it if he's going to compete for a spot," said Lakers assistant Kurt Rambis.

While McKie rested Friday, the rest of the Lakers spent much of practice talking trash, pushing and shoving each other on their fourth day of camp.

"It was testy some times," Lamar Odom said. "Everybody wanted to prove that they could play. Right about this time, you don't really get to show your individual stuff."

Well i think if mckie is done for the season or anything, we will waive him and then sign either green or profit.

But right now mckie can kiss my ass.

exactly, and the thing is he is a proven player (or was for that matter).

He wasnt a guy that missed layups or shot less that 20 % like Wafer or sasha shootin low...or kwame.

He just didnt play, and that just questioned his heart or desire, or even age and it's better for him to just retire and receive some glory in philly where he has his best years.

That would be a trip a throw in trade to Philly for him to retire there. Any ideas? Trade wise!!!

Isn't it a little too late to resign profit considering he's already on the Grizzlies roster, so now it will most likely come down between the 2 athletic ballers Green or (Pinnock who's game I really like because of his ability to play both guard positions well). Regardless of who we sign it looks now as if old man McKie's contract will be bought out.
