Default '09-'10 Freshman who doesn't get enough attention?

Michael Snaer

Ranked #7 overall by Rivals, McDonald's All-American (scored 13 pts in 17 minutes) and was recruited by the top programs like Kansas and UCLA but committed to Florida State. Maybe that's part of the reason he's rarely mentioned? Because of where he's going.

Very athletic 6'4" 185 SG. With the graduation of Toney Douglas and the best returning guard just a 7 ppg scorer, Snaer could step into that program and get the ball immediately.

Scout.com's scouting report:
Quote:
Big time wing player has loads of explosion to the basket. A great student, Snaer is a prized wing for a bevy of high-level programs. Great size and an above average athlete. Solid frame, with good length. Good shooter to three-point range. Handles andasses well for a shooting guard. Good defender -- has a chance to be an excellent defender down the road. Competes well and a good feel for the game. Elite, high major prospect.

For 2010-2011..

Noah Cottrill

6'1 PG - Mountain State Academy (WV)

#59 on ESPN Super 60. Tough as nails and doesn't stop from opening tip to final buzzer. Could be the Steve Nash of college basketball. Lights it up from 3 and is a shutdown perimeter defender.

That doesn't mix at all.

Noah sounds like an ideal college PG for a good team, the next Drew Neitzel?

But since everyone else is chiming in.

Aaron Dotson

He's immensely talented but he has shown that he is capable of working on his game every year and improving different parts of his game to make him a more complete player. He's not a 1 & Done but he should end up developing into a great 4 year player who leaves LSU as a "complete" player and ends up a 1st Round Pick.

I have played against Dotson 6X+ times throughout the last couple springs/summers.

He played for Friends of Hoop AAU which is from Seattle.
He use to play for Rotary Style, which is routinely one of the best AAU teams in the country year after year, but he quit and joined FOH probably because he wasn't going to get enough touches.
(Rotary Styles roster included 4 NBA prospects)

Anyways, Dotson is a very good player. He bullies players smaller then him. He plays smart, very athletic, knows his limits skill wise.
However, the limits he has skill wise is shooting and dribbling.

He is certainly not going to be able to bully people in college, and when you can't shoot and dribble, well then your nothing more then a role player.

But, he is very athletic and a smart player, and that goes along way in the right system.

I don't think he's an NBA prospect though.
But I guess you could compare him w/ a dantay Jones or other undersized athletic gaurds who will D you up and play smart.

Mike Moser - UCLA

He may not contribute much as a FR. or Soph, but this guy is good.

He is atleast 6'7 w/ giant wingspan, probably 7 ft.
Plays on the wing but his good court awareness and passing ability so he often brings the ball up. He gets everybody involved. Blocks everything. Boards everything. He is best in transition or off the offensive rebound putbacks.
Finds holes in the defense, thats where he gets his points in the halfcourt.

He is skinny and can't shoot.

I guess he is comparable to Terrence Williams, I think he will be better though

Ya but with the coaching fiasco there he opted out of his commitment, as did 3 other recruits, Abdul Gaddy among them.

I don't know why he would regret going to UCLA though.
Great school, great tradition, great coach. If he's not an NBA prospect after playing at UCLA, then he wouldn't be an NBA prospect playing anywhere else

Huh?

He could make himself into a NBA prospect at a smaller school other than UCLA like Paul George has at Fresno State.

You didn't read what I said.

If Paul George was at UCLA, he would still be a NBA prospect, wouldn't he??

If Mike Moser is just an average player at UCLA, and not a serious NBA prospect, then he would be just an average player at Fresno st. and not a serious prospect.

I was referring to the this quote by you-

I assumed you meant he regrets it because of Playing time and the loads of gaurds they have there?

Dotsons from my area. Same HS at Terrance Williams, Nate Robinson, Jamal Crawford. IMO he could be like Terrance. Williams wasn't heavily recruited by the Pac-10, but he was an athlete with some skill. Went to Louisville for 4 years and now he's a first round prospect. Very well could happen to Dotson, though he isn't quite the player Terrance was in HS.

Eh. Most likely. He would have only had to fight with Soloman Hill for playing time so you know he would be getting decent minutes. Would have loved to have him and especially Gaddy but thats how the cookie crumbles.

Nah. Playing time can have a big time effect on how a player develops.
