My problem with Tyrus Thomas is that he's a tweener. He could easily find himself playing small forward a lot and his perimeter game needs a lot of work. He needs at least another year in college so he can develop his outside game.

^^^You both forget, he has virtually no inside game either.

Sure, he can finish on the break, or recieve a pass and go up strong, maybe even pump fake, and then go up, but as far as a post game, there's virtually nothing there, especially on the pro level.

That said, he will run the floor well, get some offensive & defensive RB, and have a few highlight reel Dunks and blocked shots, although his blocks will not be many against much larger competition.

IMHO, I'd take him if he drops out of the lottery.

The Earliest I would Take Thomas Is 10 To Seattle. He Would Help Them Out A Lot.

I was being nice.

Right now, the only offense game he has is dunking and maybe he can be a slasher like Gerald Wallace. If he plays the 4, he should be able to dribble past other power forwards. If he can't do that, then he has problems.

He has potential, but he needs a lot of work. Tyrus could very well be the lottery bust of this draft and it's sad because if he would stay in school another year or two and work on his game, he would be in good shape.

I'm sorry, guy. You are factually wrong.

It was well-publicized that Glen Davis shut down LaMarcus Aldridge.

Texas couldn't overcome poor games by its two leading scorers. Tucker was held to 10 points on 4-of-11 shooting. Aldridge, a 6-10 center, was dominated in the head-to-head matchup with Davis, making only 2-of-14 shots to finish with four points
From the article.

i think thomas has as much skill as josh smith with a slightly better build for the nba game. he should be able to guard 3's and 4's, block shots, and board. if he scores 10-12 per game and brings the heat in all other areas he's a success regardless of where he's picked. this draft is probably not the best we've seen for a few years, but thomas deserves to land somewhere near the top of it.

Is he a Stromile Swift or an Amare?

If he is a Swift, then he might fall down to the early teens.

He would be a good finisher for Chris Paul with the Hornets.

I never though of Thomas as Amare. I suppose it's possible but he'll have to bulk up a bit.
