Default BIG appreciation thread

Man, the last time I saw this flick was when I was a teenager. I just came across it last night and saw it from a brand new perspective. Seeing it as an adult I can see why Tom Hanks was nominated for an Academy for this. Lot's of coming of age stuff and seeing life throught the eye's of an adult and reminiscing being a kid. Missing that feeling of being young and taking it for granted when you're there.

Classic:

Elizabeth Perkins is extremely hot in that movie. I think it's one of Tom Hanks best movie before he became a Megastar in the 1990's.

And I hope I can buy a Zoltar Machine on E-Bay next Christmas.

I remember the scene were he touches her tetas for the first time. She turns of the lights and he flicks them back on

The computers were so outdated its not even funny.

How about the song the two used to sing? Anyone know the lyrics without lookin them up (cheaters)?

He had a cool job to play with toys and tell him what he thought. Every kids dream.

I also had that red bunk bed growing up which is insane. Trips me out when i see it. That ladder was annoying, never used it.

This one?

The space goes down down baby, down down the rollercoaster
sweet sweet baby, sweet sweet don't let me go
shimmy shimmy cocoa pop, shimmy shimmy rock
shimmy shimmy cocoa pop, shimmy shimmy rock
I met a girlfriend, a triscuit, she said a triscuit - a biscuit
Ice cream, soda pop, vanilla on top
Shelly's out, she's walkin down the street, ten times a week
I read it, said it, stole my momma's credit
I'm cool, I'm hot, sock me in the stomach

And no, I did not look it up. Tom Hanks was on a talk show on Friday night here in the UK and ended up singing it and now it's stuck in my head.

Interesting fact, Hanks said that his son learnt this whilst he was at a summer camp. They needed something to put into the film and thought this was perfect for it.

I thought it was going to be about B.I.G. too.

But anyway, even if this film is older than me (I think), I have it on VCD. I found it very nice. Don't really remember the whole plot, but all I remember is that I liked it. Funny how he ate the baby corn
