Gentry and the Suns agreed Saturday to a two-year, $3.7 million contract that will be finalized Monday or Tuesday. The deal, which includes a team option for a third year, fulfills the front office's and players' wishes for Gentry to remain head coach after his 18-13 stint. It was also the 54-year-old coach's wish to stay, just as he chose to remain on the Suns staff last year rather than follow Mike D'Antoni to New York.
I actually like Alvin a lot, his coaching style is similar to d'antoni's. It is a little different in the sense that he actually he plays our bench though. Wellll ... we have a good coach. Now, it's up to Kerr to make the decisions that will either put us in a deeper hole then we are now or make us contenders again.
