Default Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight on ESPN Classic

Since we have a good core of boxing fans on this forum, I thought I would let you guys know that Floyd's 11th career fight is on ESPN Classic right now (from 1996). Pretty rare stuff... Check it out.

One of the greats just learning the ropes...

They're doing two fights. The first one they showed was his pro debut against Roberto Apodaca. It wasn't much to watch, other than for historical value. PBF TKOed him in the 2nd. That was from '96.

Now, they are on to his 11th pro fight in '98 against Hector Arroyo, who was actually a pretty good fighter. Arroyo has had a few decent moments. They are in Round 4 right now. You can see PBF showing flashes of greatness, but he was still a work in progress.

Very interesting stuff... This is a fight I had never seen.

Wow... Floyd unleashed a vicious 4-punch combo at the end of the fourth...

Dude barely beat the count and stumbled back to his corner. Al Bernstein likes what he sees out of this young prospect.

FUCK GOBB, you know your really starting to become a burden on ISH.. not sure if your aware of this, BUT, if you got a real job and didnt rely on that hefty mailman salary of yours, and could actually afford a tv and not depend on others to fill you in, ISH would be a much happier place.

I know that you are in troll mode, but could you please avoid ruining a boxing a thread in your effort to spew hate about a person whom you have never and will never meet? Thanks.

The guy is a villain. That's who he is. I'm glad Floyd is making a return. Boxing needs him right now and I'd love to see if he can beat some of the biggest fighters out there right now. I really admire his choice to fight Marquez, that's no tune up fight, that's a warrior.

He's a villain by choice, though. I know many people that have met him and they say that he is the most laid back, coolest cat you would ever want to meet. My buddy runs security for JET, which is a nightclub in the Mirage.

He says that Money May comes in all the time and all you have to do is walk up to him and say that you are a fan and he will break out a $100, sign it, and give it to you.

His bad boy act is strictly for the cameras and promotion.

Btw, if anyone on here ever goes to JET, I can hook you up with some VIP treatment. Let me know.
