In Jersey last night (I live in Philly, but spend a lot of my time in south Jersey where a lot of family lives) and driving home from a friends house. South Jersey's got a lot of woods and ****. Driving on a road going through the woods, deer runs out in front of my car. Swerved to the left to miss the deer (I've hit them before, cost $1100 to fix that damage) and swerved so hard that the car lost control, swerved back and slid to the right right into a side railing. When I hit that railing my head went up and hit the windshield. Hit that railing so hard that my car bounced all the way to the other side of the road into another railing.
I was okay and got out the car and was able to move it to the other side of the road. Couldn't find my cell phone in my car but a lady stopped and let me use hers to place a call. And the ****ed up part...all this happened a mile from the house I was headed to.
Went to the hospital to get checked on my head and all x-rays were negative. Got a hard head I guess. So I take it to the body shop this morning (the car didn't look too bad at all, most of the damage to the bumper and of course the windshield) thinkin that I was going to pay a bit of money but nothing to break my pocket for the next year. Turns out my whole body frame is all shifted over to the passenger side. That alone is going to cost me over 2 grand. The car on kbb.com is only worth $2100. What a *****. Guess I'm lookin at a new car.
The rear passenger side tire.

Overall, pretty lucky. If the railing wasn't there I would have been going straight into some trees. Could have been hurt pretty bad or even worse dead. **** deer.
