i have to say that that's debatable looking over their 07-08 vs. 08-09 stats.
harris had a slight lead in average scoring improvement, but his shooting efficiency also dropped all the way from .483 down to .438
. which means yes, he proved he can score in volume, but how valuable was that, really? meanwhile, granger stayed at exactly his same level of shooting efficiency (.447), proving that the extra shot attempts were apparently worth it.
and yea, you can bring in other numbers (ast's, reb's, steals, etc) to try to provide an edge either way, but at a quick glance they seem to be a wash.
yes, i was rooting for harris, but i really can't argue against granger based on the numbers. it was really close- could have gone either way.
