There's a difference between blaming him for losses and realizing the type of player he is. He won't ever win as the best player on his team, period.

wow, i feel sorry for Dirk now. Cuban the Wuss was really an idiot trading away Devin Harris and all those draft picks for Jason Kidd. What they really needed all along was a true center, not this ***** Dampier...

you are pretty much saying there are maybe 3 or 4 guys that can win as the best player on their team. At worst Dirk is the 10th best player in the L.

Give Dirk a SG that can slash and a C that can get you just 12 or so points a game and he can get you a title. Hell, all you have to do is swap Nene and Birdman for Damp and Hollins and they probably make the Finals.

you are straight hating and its pathetic.

Dirk averaged 34.4 ppg, 11.6 rpg, 4 apg this series.

Overall he averaged 26.8 ppg, 10.1 rpg, 3.1 apg.

That's not so bad.

Dirk played great, was his team that struggled.

And he isn't the type of player you build a chip team around.

It's not hating to realize that having a soft big man who does nothing but take fade away jumpers isn't going to get it done if he's your franchise guy. Call it hate, call it reality, call it whatever. It's the truth.

And I don't hate Dirk. He's done the most with the least I've ever seen. I've never seen a player as limited as him win 67 games and go to the finals. That's a downright miracle that he's done so much on just a jumpshot.

He is by far the best at taking fade away jumpers.

Gotta give guys like Bass and Barea some credit too. Even though they played limited minutes, they played well throughout the series. Can't say the same for guys like Dampier and Terry though. Especially Terry, I thought he'd explode for at least 30 in couple of games, but then again he has struggled against Denver all season long.
