Default Elgin Baylor or Charles Barkley

Not to get into a debate over who was better because people will begin to show silly fantasy basketball stats and make dumb statements like Baylor played in a weak era My question is which had a more accomplished career.

Barkley has a MVP Baylor doesnt but other than that Baylor was a more accomplished scorer rebounder and passer his teams did better he was a First team ALL NBA 10 times to Barkleys 5. Both were able to beat bigger and smaller opponents
I vote Baylor the more accomplished player.

Baylor slightly. He's the modern day LeBron James. Baylor not winning MVP's is the same reason Chuck only has 1, competition.

Obviously Barkley. Baylor was simply a product of a pathetic and weak era and wouldn't have been more than a 10th man in the 90s.

Barkley in the 60s would have averaged 40 ppg and 30 rpg easily.

Well, Baylor actually averaged 39/20 in the 62, so that's not that far off!

I don't really see the debate if its about more accomplished career. I think Charles is better, but the ultimate goal in sports is to win championships and Elgin was a superstar and won at that level.

Baylor never won a ring. But he did get to the finals a lot.

8 Times to be exact, 3 game sevens. As a rookie, he took the Minneapolis Lakers to the Finals. The season before they had the worst record in the league, he came in, got them the final seed in the playoffs, upset the Hawks in 7 losing to the Celtics in the Finals.

His 73 was an NBA high until Wilt broke the record two seasons later.

Actually he does have a ring the lakers won the title the year he retired in the early part of the year and they gave him a ring. If he was healthy that year he surely would have had similur contributions as Morning and Walton had on there title teams.
