Re: Ricky Rubio Sickest Pass in Today ACB playoffs
Josh McRoberts tried it during a game this past season, between the legs even. Got picked off, but it was in a lot heavier traffic and down in the blocks.

On Real Madrid they also have two NBA players.
Kennedy Winston who played a few years with the Grizzlies
Raul Lopez who started for the Jazz in 2004, putting up 12 points and 9 assists a game before getting injured.
They start..but the best player on the team is Felipe Reyes who was ACB player of the year.. he also dropped like 19 on the USA in the gold medal game.

i'm not gonna pretend like i know his game. but how wholesome is rubio in terms of the overall picture? how's his shooting? defense? comprehension of nba ball? the passing is awe inspiring. but to me looks like untamed talent. some of those things will not fly in a brutal league filled with contenders. is he a quick fix like say a d-rose? he's been tabbed to go top 5 in the draft. i just want to know the hype.

Great game from Ricky, playing with an injured hip and all. He led his team to an upset in the playoffs over Real Madrid with 16 points (5-11; 1-3 3 pt), 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 4 steals, and 1 block off the bench in 29 minutes.

He needs to work on his shooting a little, but it has shown massive improvement over the past year. Even though he played most of the season with a CAST on his shooting wrist he still shot 43% from three. 81% from foul line. He doesn't have much of a mid range game. That could be improved upon, especially if he added something like Nash's quick 15 foot jumpers to his arsenal.
His defense is breathtaking. He was ACB defensive player of the year. His ability to steal the ball is unlike any player we have ever seen. As a 16 year old in the Euroleague he averaged 3.5 steals a game in only 18 minutes of action!
His basketball IQ is off the charts, although I don't think anyone can say what his comprehension of NBA ball is like as he hasn't played a game there yet.
Re: Ricky Rubio Sickest Pass in Today ACB playoffs
Ricky Rubio has got to be the biggest joke I've ever heard of. It's mind boggling to see all the hype surrounding this kid. He honestly reminds me of myself when I was playing basketball. How tall is he? Barely 6 foot, if that? How much does he weigh? Maybe a 150 pounds soaking wet? Do you realize how bad he would get torched on D playing in the NBA? Could you imagine him trying to guard a guy like D-Will, CP3, Billups, hell even Aaron Brooks?
Re: Ricky Rubio Sickest Pass in Today ACB playoffs
everybody chill the **** out on this kid. He's raw as hell, and needs time to develop to the NBA. People are kidding themselves if they think he's going to be a top pg straight from the getgo. But everyone can agree that he's got talent.
Re: Ricky Rubio Sickest Pass in Today ACB playoffs
LOL @ anybody trying to clown Rubio's defense. His defense is exceptional. People know he has defense and he showed some good work on the defensive end against the US in the Olympics. He'll have no problem learning the NBA game. Rubio is the real deal,
