Bottom line... fakes are fakes inside and out. Would you buy a fake Ferrari just coz it looked like it? Not taking into account the quality of the engine, parts and such? I wouldn't. It sucks to see so many people wearing fakes its sad.
There's a great article in Sneaker Freaker's Vol 8., where they interview Richard Stanwix, head of Brand Security for Nike. They go into the whole fakes issue. Look for it, it's really informative and shows a good prespective on why you shouldn't support buying fake shoes.
Since you guys here in the sneaker forum seem to be such an ethical bunch, I'm sure none of you download and listen to music illegally either, right? You don't download torrents of games, movies, albums, none of that, because at the end of the day all that stuff is copyrighted.
If you're gonna preach that bs you better be fully following it. Protecting shoe companys, smh all these shoes are made by the same children in the same sweat shops in Asia, fake or authentic. And the whole thing about the material being better quality if it's authentic...if you're talking about the Jordans which you can visually tell are fake, ok, but what about the Jordans in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPTGCEkWj5A
Only one pair has significant signs of being a fake (of which only sneaker heads would be able to point out like the bottom being too light or JUMPMAN JORDAN being covered up), the other pairs look the same. Same material, carbon fiber on the bottom, you got it. One costs 400 from a reseller and the fake you can get for 100 bucks.
I used to have authentic breds but sold them a while back, however I was looking up shoes last night and found a guy who sells fake Jordans, from Bonanza. Now he listed them as being 100% authentic, so I can easily just file a claim with paypal once my package comes in and get my money back (Bonanza is a fully trusted site) but I'm interested to see how these shoes look, being fake and all. Ordered a pair of Gamma 11's, lets see how good or bad they end up being.
