Hopefully he gets picked... he's one of my fav college players..
Does he fit in the NBA? where do you project him to be taken if it does happen?

Re: Jack McClinton
hmm? don't know him.
I like his 3pt shooting ability, could serve as an Eddie House type of player.
Made 7 threes against UNC late in the college season..

Re: Jack McClinton
He was also a high scoring combo guard that came out of Miami. Diaz was more athletic though and people compared him to Steve Francis.

I thought the same thing too when thinking of him as a NBA prospect, McClinton will have to cut down on taking poor shots.
But the one thing that seperates McClinton from Eddie House as a NBA prospect is the fact McClinton can create his own shot, hes just undersized and not a great athlete by NBA standards for a SG.
Hes also 24, which changes the view on his potential in terms of NBA standards.

Eddie House created shots for himself all the time at ASU.

Nah, House didnt really attempt at creating his own shot until his Junior year but he remained primarily on the perimeter instead of being able to attack the basket or pull up like McClinton does.
House spends so much time on the perimeter its hard for him to even get to the free throw line.

Mike James.
But McClinton will have to come into the NBA as a role player like a spot shooter.

He would have to have some really impressive workouts to be a mid-late 2nd round pick.
Teams would rather pass on him and draft a Euro prospect in round 2 to develop, and try to sign him for summer league.
Another player in Jack's situation is Lester Hudson, an equally talented undersized SG who also is older than other prospects.

Hudson is from UT-Martin.
McClinton will probably end up in the D-League, his style of play wouldn't fit in Europe.
