And going back to a prior post, why'd you bring up the "freakish athlete"-business anyway? Like they can't be just as messed up by "problems?"
Just saying that there are guys out therethat might turn into better basketball players than Reddick, but will get picked later because we know Reddick, he is developed, now, he seems immature, reckless and irresponsible.

He was saying if he's going to draft a guy with problems, he wants Randy Moss, not Wayne Chrebet.
The Kidd compaison is perfect. He had immatiruty issues in Dallas, failing ot get along with Mash and JJ. He had behavior problems in phx, beating his wife, forcing them to trade him, because that doesn't fly in Phx.
You think Dallas was happy with the Kidd pick? Their #2 pick, should've led their franchise for 10 years. Instead he lasted 2.5 losing season there. Maybe Dallas could've picked G.Hill and they wouldn't have needed 5 more years before going back to the playoffs.
Dallas's issues when Kidd was there went far beyond Jason Kidd. The three Js had issues but on the court Kidd did his job. won co-ROY. Taking him over Hill was the wrong pick mainly because of how great Hill became, not because Kidd wasn't good enough himself. They had bad management, as history has shown they should have kept Kidd.

They traded Kidd 2.5 years into his tenure for .50 on the dollar - Finley and Cassel. It was because the three J's couldnt get along. I'm sure they all take some blame - but maturity and judgment both on and off the Court - have to be accounted for.
Kidd is a great player and has really grown (he was drafted as a freshman, so you expect some growing up) but as a drafter, I have to take maturity and judgment into account when using something as valuable as a top-pick.
In all of their cases though you have to understand that you're dealing with young men that are almost a 100% lock to do a few foolish things. And when they dealt Kidd before he had fully matured it was definitely a huge error.

I heard that Juwana Kidd (Yes I know that ain't right), was the real reason there was a rift between Kidd and JJ in Dallas. She was a former Budweiser beer girl latching on to JJ, until she saw the earning potential for Kidd. And of course the DNA that could produce an offspring with monster sized domes.
Half the people I know have gotten DUIs at some point in their life. A big part of it is just being unlucky.
Exactly.
I have one. I know a ton of people that have as well. You'd be surprised at the number of people that have gotten them. I bet a good number of team executives have gotten DUIs in their past as well.
DUI is an ugly stain on your record and some jobs you could get fired due to DUI's.... the fact that drunk drivers kill people and some act like it is not a big deal is troubling

no, A big part of it is being stupid and driving drunk...

I agree..I was with them till last year when a drunk driver killed my friend. I can't stand anything dealing with this. In my eyes, Redick is a ****er who thinks he's above everything. If I was a team GM I wouldn't take a guy who is this careless about his life or anyone elses. It only reflects the real bitch he is.
