Your rationale is that the Spaniards are gonna tell the GM they should get him because he's Spanish? And he's gonna follow this advice?

This is a typical homer fan's "Accumulate enough of our trash and make up a trade scenario for a star player". Or at least in this case, the #2 pick, which is about as close as it gets.

Why would Memphis want Bayless and Outlaw when they have this backcourt:

Conley
Mayo
Gay/Warrick

??? They just got Gasol, so they need a PF, not more swingmen who will come off the bench. If they are going to deal, it won't be for those players.

Really? "Elite" guards usually don't have significant athletic deficiencies. Rubio doesn't look like he has the quickness to deal with even average starting point guards, never mind elite ones.

I'm sensing a bust here, but it will be interesting to see how he adjusts to the speed and intensity of the NBA game.

Best answer yet. It's not just about value, its about fit.

I'd personally like to see Jason Kidd on Portland.

he didnt have too much trouble staying in front of deron williams and chris paul...and people saying he isnt quick are just wrong.

I feel a lot of subtle racism being pointed at this kid. I cant wait until he proves some people wrong. The kid is a lot faster than a certain 2 time MVP...

guy said he wont even be in the league in 5 years...come on

Portland is hanging the phone on Memphis as soon as they finish cursing them about Miles.

And a bit more seriously, from Memphis' standpoint wouldn't it be redundant Mayo and Bayless? Gay and Outlaw? Why wouldn't they ask for a PF when that's their biggest need?

This trade proposal fails hawkfan-esquely.
