The sad part is that from the looks of the workouts we're only doing workouts for players who might be available at #27 and the #36, or for a player that may slip in the Lottery allowing us to trade up.

That is a good indication we've settled on Thabeet,Griffin,or Rubio depending on who is there at #2.

There's really no need to workout anyone in the top 3. They're the players that all the scouts go to see and spend most of their time watching. So they're already going to have an a pretty good idea about Griffin and Thabeet. Jailer also mentioned that Hollins and Wallace are off to Spain to watch Rubio.

Though I think they might bring in Rubio, since he seems to be the most unkown of all the top prospects, since he plays overseas.

I'm surprised to see the likes of Flynn, Evans, Curry on that list, since there's no way they're falling to 27, but then again, it's safe to cover ourselves incase a trade goes down.

I look forward to reading/watching any updates.

If we do take Thabeet I wouldn't be against us trading up to around #11 or #12 to grab a guy like Evans, he would be huge for us as a combo guard off of the bench.

Imagine a backcourt of Evans & Mayo down the stretch.

If Evans is coming off the bench, then I guess I could deal with that, but I'm not really that big on him.

Yeah in a 6th man role, he could be an actual 3rd option for us along with providing enough versatility to play back-up PG,back-up SG,or back-up SF.

He could easily log 28+ MPG.

What do you think about this? I personally hope we can convince Rubio to come here. I would also like for us to draft Budlinger at #27, if he's still there. I think whoever is best availbable, the griz should draft a quality 3 point or wing shooter to back up Rudy or O.J. Either one works to me. If they can't get Rubio to come here, I agree with Interminator, we should trade down for another quality player b/c Thabeet can't really help us that much. But you never know.

Budinger is gone by the 20th pick, reports today said hes gained muscle and looked good in his drills.

I like Wayne Ellington at #27 if we are still there.
He fills the role of a spot shooter off the bench but his lack of versatility would mean Mayo would be running the Point when Ellington comes off the bench.

I can live with that. Who should we take with our second round pick? And as a UT-Martin student, do y'all think Lester Hudson will be drafted by anybody?

We'd only take Ellington if we took a big earlier in the draft.

Hey guys im preety sure that list is for the pre draft camp. It starts next week or the week after. If not then we are probably holding a massive camp here. There is no way that we could bring 33 players in two days and do a thurough workout for all of them. We normally bring in one to two players at a time to do drills or play three on three for a few hours. But I can see the grizz bringing in lower ranked players for their later picks.

Hansbrough >>> Arthur

I would much rather have Hansbrough on this team. He could also probably start on this team. Having Hansbrough (a better version of Arthur, slightly less athletic) and Hak coming off the bench is decent. Still not great, but decent.

This just in! Nick Calathes is bypassing the NBA to play in Greece! So rule him out if any of y'all like him.
