Re: CLIPPERS (MAY) Trade #1 Pick
you know scouting around the message boards you see there is a lot of Amare hating going on, why does everyone hate Amare? personally my reason to trade him is simple, he is going to OPT out and there is no way he is a MAX level player at this point (but he might be in the future) thus no way the Suns offer a MAX level extension, reason i say that is Amare is not a "go to guy" he is not a guy when you need a basket, when the game is on the line, when you need a win, he is not always the best option. seems other teams are offering garbage if anything for him, are they hip to the fact he is not a go to guy? am i missing something? is there a behind the scenes thing i dont see? i think Amare is a great offensive talent, the dude needs to reb better and focus on D but if they can get a D minded "C" to play long side Amare he will be fine, i honestly just want Amare to play better weak side and help D and i will be thrilled! to be honest i think Amare is better at the "C" position, rather then the "PF" he was dominating all the "C" he faced a few years back, remember?
the Suns brass needs to make a decision, do they keep, or trade Amare, i am happy to keep him, i only like the idea of trading him if he is going to opt and walk anyways, i rather get something then nothing for his talents, but the Suns need to figure out, ok do we give Amare an extension, let Nash and Shaq walk and use the free cap space to build around Amare? now there is the key and i do think Amare is a guy you can "build" around, at this stage he is not a go to guy but he can develop into one, he deff is a dude you can build around, i mean you get some prime defenders and good shooters around him and he will be a monster, look at the Orlando Magic this year, they got a "C" and 3 point shooters, sounds a lot like the Suns when Amare was the "C" and we surrounded him with Marion, Nash, Q-Dogg, J. Johnson, LB, see the theme? Amare and a load of 3 point shooters, they brought in Jim Jackson, Tim Thomas, Giracek (whatever his name was) all players capable of hitting 3 point shots, and now you see the Magic doing the same thing lol, its funny to me, now i am not saying the Suns need to go back and get a line like that, no, but the Suns need to either pay Amare and build around him, or trade him and look to the future, personally i like the idea to keep Amare and build around him, esp when Nash and Shaq come off the books!
