Default Josh Smith

Apparently the Hawks might be shopping hyper-athletic power forward Josh Smith. He has a tude but if Coach Brown dealt with Iverson, I think he can handle Smith. I'm not sure what we would have to do to get a deal done here but what if we traded DJ (b/c we can't trade Felton pre-draft) + 12th + a 2nd rounder for Smith and the 19th pick. I don't love the idea of giving up one of our PGs but we could grab another at 19.

Smith can play 3 and 4 and is a master of the highlight. It would also give us flexibility to package Wallace or Diaw with Nazr to gain cap room around the trade deadline.

Thoughts?

I think they're stacked at PG. However, swap DJ with Nazr and you've got yourself a good deal.

6 million dollar trade kicker. We're not about to pay that up with our situation, and there's probably not more than a team or two (Cuban) who would.

That being said I don't want him. Maybe he'll mature one day, but for the near future he's not going to be worth the trouble.

i honestly think that there is no way that bobcats would want someone like Josh smith just cause of his attitude. Hes good in all but there is no way they would trade for him.

If hawks cant trade smith then they wouldnt be able to afford bibby or marvin williams when they become free agents which means they would possibley just be able to sign bibby back but not williams. We could maybe get williams in fa but im not sure he would be good for us but im not sure if we really need him i really like williams though (mostly caue he went to unc)

Josh Smith would be better off in Atlanta both sides considered.
