Clear out Morrison's contract and save $11 million against the luxury
Free up that money to re-sign either Ariza and/or Odom

this one actually does make sense. Im sure the Lakers would love to re-sign both Ariza and Odom and this trade allows you to do that. The only problem is, will Memphis do it?
