Was it just me or did the Magic just simply miss all of their shots after the 1st?
It really seemed that way. They had quite a few open shots.
Gasol and Bryant had great games. None of the other Lakers really impressed me. I suppose they didn't have to, but...
Nobody on the Magic showed up tonight except Gortat. When Gortat is your best player for any given game, you are not going to win.
I think that the Lakers are the better team and obviously still pick them to win the series, but they didn't beat the Magic last night. The Magic did. The Magic missed a lot of open shots.

They also had a lot of shots that just didn't "look right" as soon as they left their hands. At least to me anyway.
that was just good lakers defense. overall they shot 35% from 3's, which is their regular season average. it's the 2-pointers that they missed, including some open ones.

The Lakers length and quickness helped in that. I think the Magic shot the ball a bit quicker than during the Cav's series because of it. Not to mention I think they were starry-eyed.

That was the game right there...
every single one of their players were shooting bricks. their best was peitrus' 5/13. rashard made a couple 3's but was otherwise 0/6 within the arc. the fact that they were making 35% beyond the 3-point line (their regular season average) and was like 23% shooting 2-pointers tells you something about the Lakers' defense.
That said, even in the few moments that the Lakers defence was lax, Orlando STILL shot poorly.

Partly. They missed so many wide open shots, it was like "Why in the hell didn't they miss these shots in Cleveland?"

Even then, he still started off piss poor. I think he started off 0-6, maybe 0-5. He some bad misses aswell. One 3 point attempt didn't even make it anywhere near the basket, it was about 2 feet away.
Re: Was it just me or did the Magic just simply miss all of their shots after the 1st?
The Magic better quit being wide-eyed out there on the court and start ballin like they did against Cleveland. Otherwise, the Lakers will sweep this series.

True, if Orlando is just going to play like crap, they should have let some other team enter the Finals, like Cleveland. Maybe Orlando just got exposed as frauds all along. If Game 2 resembles Game 1, then it will be time to take out the broomstick. I want my team to win, but this is just too easy. At least these games should be entertaining to watch.

In the Finals, the basket shrinks, defenses tighten up, and the pressure rises. A lot of those shots that used to go in suddenly become more difficult.

Huh? Besides the extra media attention, is the Finals really any different? The crowd at the Staples Center was actually pretty quiet and well-behaved.
