I enjoy seeing players that when their shot is'nt falling they make it up somewhere else. For some reason, i think shammond and mo evans seem to have that facet to their game.

It seemed as if the foul calling got really out of hand because there was nearly 50 foul calls in a pre-season game so that made it seem like the refs were being pretty strict.

Bynum from what i heard on the radio, missed about two or three shots just because of bad luck. I heard i think they threw two ally-oops that were off and a pass that was off the mark a bit. So thats not what i'm worried about.

As far as my worries were the fact that kwame again started off inconsistant 23 minutes and 2 points and seemed to once again fade a way when he was good position and miss too many close shots. Sometimes I wonder if he does'nt realize that he's usually taller and bigger that his defender and can usually punish him inside. On a bright note, he did have a good block so it seems that he worked on that a bit.

A few observations:

1) Holding Utah to 79 points was a good thing... Defense wins championships!

2) I was surprised the Lakers got so badly rebounded, 52-38, with 20-7 deficit on the offensive boards. What the heck is that?

3) I was pleased by the number of assists by Odom and Walton.

4) I was disappointed that Farmar did not play.

5) Overall a decent start, but work needs to be done. Its early, so thats good.

6) I was surprised AK47 had such an ordinary game. Only 12 mins of playing time? Is he hurt?

7) Lakerfreak should have been doing his homework!

LOL

Come on guys I try really hard. lol

I am reading the recap on yahoo and it appears sasha vujacic and odom were the leaders.

Sasha played a more up tempo game in the first half and kept the lakers going and fed ronny turiaf a dunk on a fast break.

Odom played great but should have pulled down 3 more boards.

Walton played beautiful basketball but like odom, Pull down a few more boards.

Kwame did OK on defense and mediocre on offense.

However i wont judge this game becaue other good players played horribly too.

Andrei kerelinko scored 4 i think. Okur didnt shoot well either.

So some of these guys just need a few games.

Kwame needs to watch some old tape of himself in th playoffs and he will remember.

So I wont hold this against our bigs.

A surprise was Evans as i thought he would be a decent role player and turned out to be a step ahead of that. Ronny Turiaf is doing the great off the bench play we want him to do.

All in all, a rating of 1-10 1 being horrible and 10 being perfect, I will give the lakers a 6.5

I watched this guy play at UCLA all year long. And he was the heart and soul of a team that went to the NCAA Finals and made Morrison cry. That team was all about defense. In time people will see how good this guy is, especially on defense, mark my words.

You said to mark your words so i changed them to a red Bold for ya

lol and i agree with this post. you can say that Farmar made him cry.

In 5 mins, 3 pts, 2 steals aint bad for a rookie, but the POINT OF PRESEASON IS TO GIVE THE ROOKIES MINUTES.

so if he doesnt get 18+ next time im gonna sue rambis
