Samuel L Jackson in Deep Blue Sea.

He was in the middle of a motivational speech and rallying the troops. I remember when I first saw that I was like "What the **** just happened here?"

Deep Blue Sea was all kinds of messed up for taking out my boy Sam like that. Other messed up move deaths:

Pookie(New Jack City) I always wondered why a former crackhead was able to work in The Carter without at the very least being butt ass naked, and why Ice T would be dumb enough to send a crackhead to infiltrate basehead heaven.

Ricky(Boys in Da Hood) You would have to be a heartless motherf*cker not to be touched by that one.

Ivanhoe(The Harder They Come) I really did not want to see him die.

Or the way Sam went out in 187, that was pretty ****ed up too. I did not see that coming, even after the movie alluded to the Pyrrhic victory. Good flick though.

Donny in Big Lebowski always bummed me out.

Tim Curry in Congo, just because we were no longer blessed by his spectacular accent and masterful translation of hieroglyphics.

I dunno why I just thought of these ones, this is goin back to high school English, but all time deaths that bummed me right the **** out were...

Lennie in Of Mice And Men.

Gatsby in The Great Gatsby. He was the American Dream. And was killed for no reason.

Jenny in Forest Gump

I'll admit she was a junkie/whore... but he loved her, dammit.

Oh god.. just thought of another one.

in My Girl, when Macaulay Culkin got stung to death by all of those bees. And then at his funeral, the little girl who loved him threw herself into the coffin while screaming hysterically.

I actually think I'm gonna cry just thinking about it...

Yeah his death caught me off guard as did the chief of police's death when they threw him off the building.
