You think Shannon Brown can take over the starting position? I'll say he's proven he can play it well, but it might take a bit longer for Phil to change his starting point guards in the middle of the playoffs? You never know...
This should belong in the laker forum, but yeah... he had a bad night. I'm sure he is exhausted these last two series, he's been playing catchup. Williams is hard to guard, especially when they both know each others moves. Brooks has been playing like an allstar these last two series and has twice the speed. All i can say is good job for Fishers effort.

IMO Shannon is the best all-around PG on the team. Farmar is a better play-maker but Shannon is stronger and plays much better defense. He is also a more versatile scorer..
We're going to have to let Chauncey get his points, Denver is really a streaky team. Once they get going, they really GET GOING. Their bench is better than the lakers (lakers bench = overrated), but we will dominate them in the paint. If we can play like we did tonight (5/12), we will not have a problem.
Phil would never disrespect Fisher by benching him, until Derek comes to him and tells him that Shannon is a better man for the starting role.
Fish has done so much for this franchise during the Kobe/Shaq era and has hit so many big shots, even though he is struggling this post-season, I still think he will come through before the season is over.
[quote=imdaman99]He prob meant Anthony Carter lol[/QUOTE
Yeah probabaly lol.
But I agree Fish is better suited to guarding somebody like Chauncey Billups than Aaron Brooks. Since the Lakers 3 peat years, Derek Fisher has had problems with quick little guards.
