It doesn't matter what he was scoring the last month and a half (which was 18PPG BTW)... he was still shooting 36%, 37%, & 35% respectively in the final months of the season.
Igoudala & Young are both players who are best when allowed to create their own shot, and accel at attacking the basket, to try and force those player to be spot up shooters will always result in a waste of talent.

I'm lost at these numbers you posted. Explain them. Is that 3pt %?

When that's the best % in your 8-9 man rotation, huge problem. 35% is mediocre at best. To put it in perspective, Wade shot 32%, and he's far from a good 3PT shooter.

I agree. A crossmatch (Kapono on SF, Iggy on SG) would result in less cringe-worthy defense on Kapono's part.
Re: Raptors to trade Jason Kapono to 76ers for Reggie Evans
Good trade, for both. Toronto will have some hustle in the front court when Bosh or Bargnani rest. Philly will have a deadly shooter to complement Iguodala and Brand.

Yeah 3pt shooting for the Sixers is a problem. Has been for awhile. I thought you were speaking on Thad's as a 3pt shooter in general. He's improving.

I was taking a guess I wasn't sure the exact number. But I wasn't counting the playoffs/last couple games because he was coming off of that ankle injury where he missed some games. I was talking about how well he was playing before the injury.
But are you saying because of those percentages he should come off the bench? Because that was the point of my post and if so I disagree. And Young isn't that great of a slasher just yet, his ballhandling isn't too great as of right now. He has that one move of getting into the lane and spinning to his left hand. Right now his game is a post-up jump hook that is money, fast break buckets, offensive rebound putbacks, open jumpers from others' penetration, and open jumpers from players not respecting his midrange shot. He's still working on that right hand.
Sixers need to study how the Heat used Shaq/Kapono and do the same with Brand. He should get plenty of open looks.
Re: Raptors to trade Jason Kapono to 76ers for Reggie Evans
Marshall & Ratliff probably won't be back. So I could definitely see Thad being used as a SF/PF combo forward off the bench, with Speights playing a C/PF combo.
Re: Raptors to trade Jason Kapono to 76ers for Reggie Evans
Regardless of what people thinks, I believe that by the end of next season, kapono will have more impact on the sixers than Evan will for the raptors simply due to Evan's not being able to see floor time.
