The LA Clippers selected Blake Griffin out of Oklahoma with the first pick. Who do you think the Grizzlies will take?

My Choice: Since we cant trade, Im going with Hasheem Thabeet out of UConn. Hes a big the Grizzlies need, and I think they will take the risk on him.

Thabeet. I think they end up trading the pick but since we can't do that they take Thabeet b/c they won't want to get into some fiasco w/ Rubio not wanting to play there and Thabeet gives them some much needed size, even though they already have Gasol at C.

I would say Rubio. They dont need another center, they need a power forward. They have gasol and can wait til next draft for an actual big that has an offensive game. Rubio is the next best player behind griffin. The griz lack talent overal and rubio would be a huge boost to their bench.

It's f*cking hard to choose since there's no trading. I'm at the point now, where I'm almost certain we're going to trade the pick, or pick Rubio and then trade him.

If trades aren't allowed, then I would pick Harden. He seems like the only player, behind Griffin and in the top 5, who can contribute right away. Thabeet just makes no sense to me. Gasol can in no way play the 4, unless Thabeet plays behind Gasol and Darko is traded for a PF or backup PG, but again, we can't do trades in this. So Harden is my choice.

If we can do trades then I would take Rubio.

If no trades are allowed I would go with Rubio, though honestly the only thing that really makes sense for the Grizzlies here is a trade.

I don't like the Hasheem Thabeet pick for the Grizzlies here because they already have a good young center in Marc Gasol, and neither one of the two can possibly play PF.

Rubio, they dont need Thabeet at center with Marc Gasol trying to chase down Amar'e or David West. Conley looks better now after the new coach but...Rubio looks to be the next Nash and you can't pass up on that(hehe punchline!)

Griz doesn't need another young project really...and rubio's trade value is much greater, so I will pick Rubio and trade him for a borderline all-star player.
