I would love for the Netherlands to win obviously, but it's too bad our coach is a piece of shyt.

We have some of the best coaches in the world, and we put this average mofo in charge.

Here is my little scandal prediction (if the chips fall into place):

If South Africa advances, watch for their opponents in the elimination round to get food poisoning.

When SA hosted the rugby World Cup back in 1995 they played New Zealand and a bunch of NZ players came down with food poisoning the day before the final and weren't at 100%.

I see history repeating itself as corrupt countries can't help themselves (see Korea, 1988 Roy Jones Jr. gold medal loss, and 2002 Korea vs Spain).
That's one of the most obviously rigged matches I've ever seen.

Argentina won't succeed under Maradona. This guy is a decent manager but isn't of the level of other managers. He's like the Mike Brown of soccer world, only worse.

Just like they choked last Euro, right. England doesn't ever choke, right?

England doesn't choke, their talent is just vastly overrated.

Without a doubt.

Obviously, Spain are the favorites. They're not chokers anymore after winning Euro so dominantly.

Let's see...they have the two best strikers in the world, two best midfielders in the world (Xavi and Iniesta), the best goalie in the world (even if Casillas had a subpar year for his standards at Real), and one of the best center backs in Puyol, arguably the best DM in the world (Senna). Right now, the team is ****ing stacked.

The only negative is that it's not played in Europe and that it may be difficult to continue the unbeaten streak.

Spain is obviously the favorite. Unbeaten for 33 straight games, and counting.

England don't choke, they just play too fair and always lose to teams that cheat better than they do. For example Portugal in World Cup 06, hacking and grabbing Wayne Rooney all game pissing him off.

Brazil, Argentina, Germany, Italy, Spain are the top nations in world football and also the best at cheating. Teams who don't have the talent, but are extremely adapt at cheating and diving, such as Uruguay and Paraguay, also always punch above their weight in international tournaments. England doesn't have any players who cheat like that, they are all honest types who believe too much in 'fair play' and that just doesn't work. Starting 11 England has a team that can match any other on paper, the other teams are just much better at cheating then they are.

No f'ing way England comes close to winning this thing, they're so overrated in my opinion.

Either Spain or Argentina's taking this, they have my two favorite players too (Messi and Torres)

I think South Korea can do pretty well (gotta support your native country), as in quarterfinals-ish, they did pretty well the past two world cups.

Spain hasn't lost a match since November 2006,so Spain carries the weight of overall favorite (Casillas,Puyol,Xavi,Iniesta,Torres,Villa)

I believe it's the spanish world cup to lose but then again they always find someway to lose lol a sleeper team could be argetina IF Maradona gets sacked cause he obviously doesn't know what the hell he's doing, I mean come on what does Higulan & Cambassio have to do to get a call up? you could argue Higulan should be starting over El Kun Or Tevez and Italy always seems to show up for the big stage.
