I am not that sure if this was his last year of his contract, but what is your take on the centre?
I would actually like to see him stay as a possible back-up if they can get him for a low key cheap price (near minimum?). 7'1 is pretty appealing... Not amplying he is starter material, he is very unsteady on offence, but I think he addresses rebounding and inside presence needs which would be helpful off the bench.
Yeah he's kind of a funny player in that he plays really well sometimes and then other games you can't even understand why he's in the NBA. I think given the time he could be a reliable backup on a regular basis.
I watched almost every game on TV this year and I find whenever Woods played, he would rebound the ball well. But sometimes he wouldn't box out on those rebounds. He is a low-payed Tyson Chandler. But he doesn't have as many injuries. Give him some potential time here and there just to see what he could do.
He is a good player. Give him playing time "off the bench" and see what he can do. He is not a starting center. He has the hieght, just pack on some meat on that body and make him battle for boards. Make him work on certain skills and then things might get better.
i reaaly enjoy it when he gets all pumped up and emotional after he grabs a board in his 30 second stint off the bench.
He's hillarious, he does some fists, and chest pumps..maybe an index finger pointed up after grabin a nasty board....hahaha. Woods sucks.
I've never seen a guy lose so many passes, *****in butter fingers. And as for boards....he's 7' 1", he should be able to get a board when you're that tall. I would have taken Araujo off the bench before woods anyday...at leat he didn't "raise the roof" after a made freethrow.
*****, sign me raps... I guarantee I'd produce more then Loren
