Default Good start for Shelden

I think it is important for Shelden to get off to a good start even though it is the PS. He had 12/9 in his first game in 24 mins. He had some foul trouble and to issues. That will take care of itself with more playing time. Overall good start for him.

Yep! I think he will do just fine. He is the only true PF (old-school ala Oakley)on the Hawks' roster. Good thing about him is the fact that he'll be able to contribute straight away as he is one of the most "NBA ready" guys from this year's draft class.

He will have his struggles early on as most rookies do. He should be able to make a quicker impact then our rookies of the last several years have.

Did Shelden start?

I told you guys you have the Power forward you needed since Moses Malone played for the Hawks. I'd start him, I think he can help out right now. But if you want to stay the course with Josh Smith and Marvin Williams, by all means, make it do what it do.

Peace Up, A-Town Down.

Shelden will be a beast for many years to come...at least 12 years of production from that man.

I was hoping LA would get him and I was rooting for him to enter the draft last year so we could get him.

But you guys will do better now that u have a strong inside prescence.

That is the main reason we got him. Hawks have plenty of skilled players already. They needed that toughness inside. Shelden may not ever be worthy of a top-5 pick. In this weak draft and FA. There are so many question marks about the bigs. It is best to take the most proven big and who will cost the cheapest. That turn out to be Shelden.

Default Hawks LOVE Shelden...

Why the disparaging remarks about Shelden ? Billy and the Coaching Staff LOVE this kid. He is tough as nails...averaged 3.9 blocks per 40 minute college game as a Senior...has an "excellent" 16 foot open jump shot...a natural leader. Agree or not...the Hawks are 100% satisfied with their # 5 pick.

Craig Smith had 9 pts and 6 rebounds in only 15 minutes.

2nd round draft pick PF for Wolves ^^^^ He's 6'7" and 272lbs. BIG PIMPIN BABY! (not fat either, pure athlete) Watch out...Shelden's going to be shoved out of the paint on his face
