Quote:
Star Trek director J.J. Abrams tells TV Guide that he will be producing the fourth "Mission: Impossible" film.

"I am incredibly honored that Tom has invited me back as a producer on 'Mission: Impossible 4,'" said Abrams, who directed 2006's Mission: Impossible III, but hasn't yet committed to directing the fourth.

"Tom and I have come up with a really cool idea we are pursuing," he added.

The third film cost about $150 million to make and earned $397.8 million worldwide. The first pic pulled in $457.7 million worldwide on a $80 million budget and the second took in $546.3 million on a $125 million budget.

Abrams' credits include TV shows "Fringe," "Lost," "Alias" and "Felicity."

MI:3 was a vast improvement over MI: 2. The first of course, is the best.

I think 4 is def overkill. The third was pretty good, even if the end was not very feasible to me. These Hollywood n!ggaz never know when to close down a franchise while they can.

the key is not just amazing battle scenes and graphics. We have seen those countless times. If the movie intends to be a success and make a lot of money it needs to have a good story. The first one and even the 3rd one had that. Just making it a big budget movie doesn't mean its going to be a hit.

If a country doesn't get nuked in this film... I'm out.

We need a post-appocalyptic Mission Impossible.

at first i was dissapointed on reading this topic- abrams should not be wasteing his talent on franchise garbage- but hes just a producer. so really he wont be making much difference or wasteing much of his time.
