I really wish Bob Dylan would just have Jacob sing for him these days.
BD shows are so sad these days. He is too damn old to be singing on stage anymore IMO. I don't think I have ever been more disappointed in a show than when I saw Bob.
I too would be very curious to hear Jacob sing his dads material. Particularly now that hes gone solo. But J.D. has always been running away from being in his dads shadow, so I doubt that he would be willing to sing his songs.

I just think it could inject some life into the BD shows. Went to one and have listened to a few boots of him in the last 15 years and he just doesn't have it anymore.
At least thats how I feel. I guess there are some that like what he does now live but I think they are just hanging on to their memories of his past greatness.
I cant understand exactly what they are saying all the time and even online lyric sites seem terribly confused. Regardless, this is a top ten song all time of mine.

I know what you mean. I love his writing and recordings. However, as a performer hes just reached that age where hes not delivering the goods. Its not like he was a personable performer before, so now its just giving people a fix to their nostalia. Sort of reminds me of when people go to sci-fi conventions to meet people that were once great but now are merely memorable names.
