As of now, Fitz and the Tantrums are my new thing.

They've got a retro soul/R&B sound, with solid song-writing, and catchy hooks. No guitar, but a KILLER rhythm section, and two complimentary vocalists (male and female). They obviously take much inspiration from Stax in Memphis... and apparently the drummer is a huge Motown buff, which is evident by his style on the set.

I saw the live and they tore the f*cking house down.

Still not sure how I was such a rep whore, seeing as how my opinion and prose were so often subjugated to extreme dislike and .....
