Default ricky rubio?

if we drafted rubio and he stayed overseas would we own his draft rights and if he tried to play for another team later what would happen?

First of all, Rubio is probably never going back to Europe. Too much **** has happened in front of the media regarding the buyout for him to stay there.

Also, he's earning like $100,000 per year in Europe. The earlier he signs a contract for the NBA, the faster he would earn big bucks.

Also, he can't sign for any other team even if he did come back to Europe. We would have to trade him in order to sign with another team. Basically if he refuses to sign with the Grizz, he can't play in the league.

I remember that. Michael Dickerson and Othella Harrington. I think the NBA has taken steps to protect teams from Steve Francises of the world. I'm guessing there must be something in effect which a player cannot refuse to sign a contract once drafted (see Yi)

david stern worries about things like dumb dress codes he need to say somet hing about crybabies trying to draft themselves we need a rich and crazy owner like cuban and draft him and give him a season of dnp coaches decision.if he wants to pick where his punk a$$ plays he needs to wait until free agency.

Rubio is not going back overseas. All he can do is try and hold out.

Yeah if we can trade to minny. And get the fifth pick the 18th pick and ryan gomes. I might do that trade

Considering that you could probably get harden at five
Ty lawson or a player that dropped with the 18 pick(maybe bj mullens)
27 we could take a project.
Ryan gomes becomes an immediate back up to rudy.

Thats not a bad draft.

Jaily, I like your thinking! I have Lawson as one of the sleepers in the draft.
