Default Korver Staying

http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=4295754

Quote:
Utah Jazz guard Kyle Korver has notified the team that he is not opting out of the final year of his contract, bypassing the opportunity to become a free agent Wednesday.

Korver has officially declared his intention to play out next season at $5.2 million with the Jazz, who are still waiting for similar decisions from forward Carlos Boozer and Mehmet Okur.

"We are thrilled to have Kyle remain with the Jazz," general manager Kevin O'Connor said in a release Monday.

Well, I hope his surgery went well and he shoots the lights out for us this season. Plus, if we need to include an expirer in any deals...

What you said is right, but I'll take it in reverse order. I'm more interested in what he can do for the Jazz as part of a trade than I am in how well he gets back to shooting.

Not underrated in Sloan's mind. That's why you trade him. If he's not hitting shots you bench him. Ever since he smacked his head into the floor on consecutive nites he's found his way into Jerry's hear like Collins, Harpring, Fisher, etc. Bad news.
