Did they change the meaning of the word "potent"?

The WR situation in the NFCE looks weak, but the RB situation looks nice.

Skins
Portis

Eagles
Westbrook

Giants
Jacobs

Boys
Barber/Jones/Choice

weakest division by far this year is the AFC West

which is why this is a great opportunity for the raiders to take advantage this year

How about NFC South RB's???

Carolina
DeAngelo Williams/Jonathan Stewart

Tampa Bay
Caddilac Williams/Derrick Ward

New Orleans
Reggie Bush/Pierre Thomas

Atlanta
Michael Turner

...Not quite as good as the NFC East but there's still some pretty darn good backs there..

It looks that way...SD should still lead the pack.

Denver will Suck balls without Cutler,

KC might do a bit better but they're a work in progress..

Oakland could be in with a shot as you said..they need production from the QB though..

Ugg football...

REDSKINS 08 season

Starts 6-2 with the leading rusher in the NFL.Said by many to be the second best in the nfc.

Second half 2-6 with a limping rb and our QB showed what happens when our rb is not 100%.

go ravans.....

That 2nd half by the Skins was painful to watch even if you weren't a fan. Total Collapse. Didn't they lose to the Bengals one week towards the end?

Haynesworth has to help, surely..

It's looking more and more like next year will be uncapped anyway, so worry about that later.

It's pretty clear that the NFC and AFC West are the two weakest divisions again this year at this point.

and the D has made some improvements....if you use Roy Williams right it should be a great boast to run stoppage...just take him out on 3rd down...

I'm not so sure that the division as a whole is as strong as you make it out to be. I think Baltimore is in for a bit of a tumble. The league has now had an entire offseason to break down videotape on Joe Flacco. Not to mention, you have several key guys who are getting older. They surprised a lot of people last year. With actual expectation, that same element of surprise won't be there anymore.

Cleveland.........blah. Gonna take some time to get used to a new coach, not to mention they have several key defections.

I will be SHOCKED if Pittsburgh doesn't win this division. It should be a landslide for them.

so I guess you are saying you have a legit shot at a Wild Card spot?

I guess I just need to see how the Ravens look and if Chad shows up as Chad...

Ocho might be a huge fantasy sleeper pick now that Housh is gone now that I think about it...he should be getting a ton of looks...

Flacco wasn't that good as a rookie, though. I've seen games where he had all day to throw, but still struggled. Pretty much all rookie QBs struggle during their first season, so you could see quite a bit of improvement out of him. The Ravens pretty much relied on the running game and defense to win games. McGahee was oft injured. A healthy McGahee could make their running game even better and open things up for a more experienced Flacco.

All I can say in defense is that the Bengals played all of the NFC East teams tough. They took the Giants into OT, tied the Eagles and had a chance to beat the Cowboys.
