So does Joe Flacco

Flacco was solid as in he was an average QB and Baltimore's offense was average, he wasn't a star from day 1.

Matt Ryan is very much the exception to the rule and Freeman is not Matt Ryan, not even close.

Well...not a huge deal of NFL News/Discussion at the moment. It will get back into full gear by August when training camp and the preseason games (who cares) begin.

I think the eagles can take the east straight up this year.. there are some question marks with each team, but Im happy with what the front office has put together soo far...

Giants lost some fire power on offense, but gained some back on defense... lost spagnola, but all they have talked all offseason is how they wanna beat the eagles I like that talk... that means it'll be a nasty rivalry this year... they consider themselves the top dogs and we took them down in their house twice last year... once in the playoffs... they are p*ssed about that..

I think the cowboys are a 'wait and see' type team.. they still have alot of weapons even without TO, but they have some question marks like the other teams... can Roy fit the big boy shoes? can Romo & witten find each other without TO drawing away soo much attention? I hear they are gonna start using their back like westbrook and putting him out in routes and moving him around.. sounds like a good idea if they do it right....

Redskins are a unique team to me... they are a big threat, but they seem to run into problems at various points in the year and that holds them out of the playoffs (or at least it did last year)... they beat us twice I think and their defense is rock solid.... portis is a monster when healthy... if they can be explosive through the air, the league would be in trouble...

Eagles Im excited about...we just need to be sure we jell with all the new players we have... Our o line looks great, I like our receivers and our rookie back & TE look great too.... Im a little concerned with what would happen if westbrook gets an extended injury and mccoy has to play alot... how is his blitz pick up? I dont know... we need to avoid injuries also..

cant wait.... it'll be fun to watch

Thread needs a bump

Some news:

Ravens resign Suggs 6y/$63mil
Chiefs resign Cassell 6y/$63mil(20 something guaranteed)
Derrick Mason retires
Panthers and Peppers fail to reach contract
Any other news?

Derrick Mason retiring screws the Ravens up. Do they now go after Marshall? Their #1 WR is Michael Clayton who is a #3 WR... Todd Heap and those TE's really need to step it up this year should be a rough year for Flacco.

Chiefs shouldn't have signed Cassel for that amount of money without seeing him even play a game in a KC uniform.

I guess they think he can replicate what he did with the Patriots.

Suggs got paid in a big way. Ravens need to get a WR now somehow.

If I'm the Broncos, I'd be reluctant to trade Marshall. If they trade him they've just traded their two best offensive players in the one off-season. Fans would be starting to call for McDaniels head, especially if he doesn't win.

Ravens could sign Marvin Harrison (washed up, I know)...don't know who else.
