Fair enough, but if they can tie him without killing cap space to sign a big name next year, I wouldn't have a problem.

Hopefully Williams and Najera.

We lose a bonehead and an injury prone player with 3 years left on his contract...small contract but if it is for Davis... why not? He is better than both Williams and Najera

He's not that bad on the boards...

in fact he is pretty good on the offensive rebs

I have questions about Big Baby's commitment. If being on The Celts with KG and Big Perk was not enough for him to completely commit to being in shape, I don't think giving him money and plopping him on a team with no veteran leaders is going to do the trick either.

Per 36 minutes he averages 6.6 boards for the regular season.

And in the playoffs he averaged 5.6 boards a game playing 36.4 minutes.....

Sources with both the Nets and Celtics have denied that they are working on a sign-and-trade that would send Glen Davis to New Jersey.
The Nets have inquired about Davis, but their first problem is that Boston wants to retain him. The Nets are also carrying 15 guaranteed contracts, the maximum allowed, so they have virtually no flexibility. Anything could happen, but it sounds like Davis-to-NJ is one rumor without much substance.
