was not as impressed as i would have liked to be. but i saw some really good things, mo taylor played ok when he first came in. and john salmons knows how to run a team at the end of a game...learning behind AI for so long. brad miller was off tonight. a lot of calls, a lot. turnovers were a problem. good game for the preseason.
Great game for the bench players to get out there and show some of their stuff.
Very impressed with John Salmons.
Jason Hart is gone, Ronnie Price has taken his privilages to play.
Agreed.
Yeah I was very impressed with John Salmons, without him in at the end we would have lost.
I was thoroughly unimpressed with Garcia and Mo Taylor.
Shareef didn't exactly do anything to take back his starting spot.
Bibby played well again.
Artest played defense well but his offense was off. He needs to stop taking so many 3s, his game is post ups, slashing, mid range Js, and fade aways. He keeps forcing 3s when he could beat people off the dribble. But I realize his back was sore tonight.
Martin was scoring at will. Those guys(Mo Evans, Aaron Mckie) can't guard him. Bibby also found him a bunch for easy buckets.
Kenny played pretty well when he got PT. He fits real well IMO.
Miller played D but his offense was terrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrible.
I was impressed by Price, he ran the team well IMO.
I was impressed by Douby as well, he had an important steal IIRC in the 4th quarter.
BTW, why didnt Woods get any time? Why didn't Amundson or Williams play in the fourth quarter? SAR and Taylor were sucking bad.
Loren barely played. Muss is just trying to see how different lineups work together on the court. I just think the starting 5 were on the floor too long together.
Ronnie Price...What can I say. He played great tonight. I really hope he can be a solid back-up for Bibby throughout the season. Just hopefully we can depend on our 2nd year player.
I was really worried watching this game. At times, the offense was stagnent and they couldn't get anything going late 3rd, early 4th quarters. The offense went from movement and great passing and cutting and finding the open man (during Adleman's era), to...every other team. I guess I was spoiled by Pete's Princeton offense, but the Kings looked stale on the offensive end. I saw way too many isolations and not enough movement off of the ball to help create.
I hope Geoff Petrie is working overtime in an attempt to find a new home for Potapenko and Hart. If we took low draft choices and /or $$$ in return, it would create roster space for Williams and Amundson.
For a rookie, Williams looks great--He is a range rebounder--has a nose for getting to the ball wherever it is and he can block shots. SIGNING WILLIAMS IS A MUST!
Price has improved tremendously and is looking more and more like he belongs in the NBA. (Another reason why Hart is expendable.)
Yeah Lakers dynasty I noticed your team did better when Farmar was in the game. Smush simply doesn't seem to know how to run an offense IMO, and Farmar went to college at UCLA and he had a good coach so I guess that's where he got his abillity to run an offense. I don't know where Smush went to college. BTW everyone was bashing Salmons and saying, "KINGS WONT BE GOOD THEY'RE GONNA BE ****, they replaced BONZI with freakin JOHN SALMONS haha" but he actually played pretty well for us during these 2 preseason games. Price played well too. The thing I think Salmons
helps more than Bonzi when he plays PG, because Bonzi had terrible handles but Salmons gives us a lot more flexibilty and help at PG while KMart and Garcia pick up from where Bonzi left off.
Agree with you Buck. Hart and Potapenko need to go, Amundson and Williams need to stay.
Showtime: Yeah it was fun watching Adelman's offense, but I think once this team works out the kinks in the offense like the turnovers and stuff the passing will be better. We have guys that can pass like Bibby, Miller, Artest, Kenny, Salmons. I hope it improves anyway.
