Tinsley would be a nice back up for a team. The thing with the Lakers is they already have good back up PG's. I don't really see it being a fit for that reason.
lakerfreak, are you on a European vacation? I'm jealous

Nah I've been here since december to study. Don't want to sound bias or anything but seriously some of the best places I have seen are in California.

I agree. I've been to the Ukraine, Austria, and Canada. I've also travelled to most all of the US. I'm originally from the midwest too, though I've been in California for the last 4 years. Geographically Cali is one of the most beautiful places on the planet.
I was wondering about this too, talked to a employee from indy and he emphatically said HELL NO. Do not do it. FWIW.
Really, I think unless we are bringing in a clear cut starter at the 1, we do not need another backup. We have guards, the triangle, and fishy. Fishy may be in a nursing home playing canasta during the offseason but unless a new guard is going to start in his place, I just do not see it.
I was thinking about this earlier when I read that he is interested in signing with the Knicks in the main boards. Honestly, I just can't see Tinsley signing for league minimum when he made almost 7 million last season. I can see the Knicks offering him part of their MLE (don't they still have their full MLE??). I think he might be able to get part of the MLE, which is more than the league veteran minimum.
Besides, what does Tinsley bring to the table that Fisher/Brown/Farmar don't? I have never really watched him play more than a handful of games throughout his career w/ Pacers..

Well he was bought out, and he didn't play for 2 years. I would expect his value to be at an all time low.
I'm guessing you've NEVER seen Jamaal Tinsley play.
I saw Tinsley play in Indiana when they made the playoffs several years in a row with Artest, O'Neal, Tinsley and Reggie. He's short, has upper body strength, quick and is a fair defender, exactly how Shannon Brown looked like in the playoffs last year.
Quote:
Brown is super young, no one really knows what he can do yet. Tinsley was 25+ when he made that run with the pacers.
You've obviously never read an entire thread before, or never made a post without using any of those emoticons little kids like to use.
