because of injuries
whats up with all you idiots who had drafts before training camp?
That's a risk I was willing to take. The basketball offseason takes forever so as soon as yahoo opened up their fantasy game, I signed myself up. Helps pass the time until the regular season starts a little quicker. So, u can go to hell little buddy
yeah, i can still win with injuries, but the point is. what is the purpose of drafting before camp? are people just impatient?
Sometimes the whole drafting process is just too fun to wait until late October.
But my #1 reason? Value of players aren't well known in the earliest drafts. Much easier to make good draft steals. Check yahoo rankings, they changed a lot in the very beginning. I remember looking at the rankings and seeing Jermaine O'neal at 120 (lol), TJ Ford at 141, David West at 93, and a few others. Now people are drafting the likes of Wilcox in the 7th or 8th round, but if you did a really early draft, he won't even be drafted in a lot more leagues...the longer you wait, more and more people will start to catch on.
