Mike Taylor also was waived, I think he would be a nice pick up. I watched him last year on the Clipps and he was a pretty solid player. Handles the ball a bit too much but overall a decent young guard.

It's a smart move. He wouldn't have been productive as a Laker anytime soon.

He would be an interesting pick up. He seems to hold a good amount of potential.

I would also consider looking at a guy like Salim Stoudemire, who was also waived. He is a one dimensional player. But his range could turn him into an eddie house sort of guy. And based of how cold Sasha was last season, looking for shooters certainly should be done

Strikes me funny that we drafted him ahead of Marc Gasol....good thing we had 2 second round picks!!!! I don't think there was much of a demand for him.

Wasn't the Yue Dynasty supposed to follow the Ming Dynasty???
At Least Yue got a ring, Yao just got De Feet

There have been lots of rumors that the Lakers only want to keep the NBA min of 13 since they are so far over the cap. Waiving Yue gives the Lakers 13.

I really wish the lakers hadn't kept powell.

There was a big man we had in last year's training camp (or the year before not too sure) by the name of Elton Brown.

He was about 6'9'', really big and strong, and seemed to do a good job of being there for offensive rebounds and putbacks.

I am sure he would come very cheap. He might be a good investment.

Better than Powell anyways.

that's not a rumor, mitch said that on the radio yesterday...

they will bring in a few more for training camp of course but that's just to have more practice players, none of them will stay

Phil likes Powell because he can knock down shots. I think Powell will play better this year now that he feels more comfortable with the system and knows what they expect.

Elton Brown has talent but no brain. He is known to have attitude problems, this is the main reason he gets cut from every team he plays for....even the Euro and Israeli teams couldn't deal with the guy. Just a clue.....he more than once said that he only plays for the money.......not a guy we need.
