so why isnt he gaining weight from when he knocked out of the ncaa tourney untill now? at one stage he was meant to be 240, or 237 but hes come in at 234, so hes obviously been working out, but hes losing weight when if he wants to be effective in the nba
its alright being rail thin if your quick like garnett or chis bosh, but aldridge is nowhere near as quick as them

Aldridge has a great body for a pf, and will probably be a top 5 pf in the NBA someday. I'm just laughing at the idea of him as a full-time center.

I personally haven't seen many people expecting him to be a center. Most people know he will be a PF who can play some undersized C from time to time. Much like Bosh.

Aldridge will be just fine. He's coming in at 234? That's more than most of the skinny inside players. Garnett came not that much over 210-215, and is around 240 now. When you see the skinny inside players, 225 is pretty much the default, and Aldridge already has that beat with a good frame on which to add some more weight.

It's not a big deal.

...by the way, this thread definitely gets the award for funniest thread title on the new ISH boards so far.

yea...

why am i the first person in this thread to bring up wingspan?

what do camby, AK47 and aldridge have in common? they all have 7'0+ wingspans... thats the real reason why it's still going to be tough to back down aldridge... and besideds... isn't he like 20? who here stopped growing when they hit 20? if even you didn't get any taller, you can't possibly tell me you didn't fill out your frame.

aldridge is going to average atleast 1.5 bpg in his rookie campaign, regardless of what team he's on.

What do you predict the Raptors' record will be next year if he is their starting center?

That also depends on what happens in free agency.

He'll be alright, even if he has to play center. Aldridge is stronger than most of you are giving him credit for.

Honestly, he'z not.

Look at the bench press reps, the frame etc.

GOod part is he'z got solid balance, and strong lowerbody strength.

Caron Butler could post him as of now.

Will fill out, relies on a more finesse game and dunking often.

Probably injury prone.

How much did Dennis Rodman weigh? I remember him guarding shac at times. It's all about will and lower body strength.

Garnett 190! That is absolutely rediculous. Garnett is 235 pure muscle.

Aldridge will not be drafted by the raptors unless they trade him. Colangelo is to smart for that. In my uneducated opinion I see him as a much less talented, taller, defensive bosh.
