He basically went to Chicago/cleveland for 4-5 years for nothing but money and the pistons had arguably a championship team for a solid 3-4 years.
Sometimes I dont understand the difference between 5 and 10 million dollars.
He also wasn't thrilled with Flip Saunders and the direction the team was going (less defensively oriented) and things of that nature.
I don't mind the signing at all, but I'm not sure exactly why he chose to come back. This is not the team that he had all-star appearances, a championship ring, etc, on. Only Rip and Tayshaun are left? And it's not like we're talking about coming back after Mike James, Corliss, and Okur left. This team bares very little resemblance to what once was.
Truthfully, I think Ben is going to learn this year that sometimes you can't go "home" again.
